‘Songs of the soul’ Songs that travelled through time and finally reached us, carrying enormous power and a disarming truth. Songs that magnetise you with their beautifully given lyrics or their exquisite melody. Songs that sometimes shock you, sometimes throw you high and sometimes lead you to a redemptive cry. Lalia collected some of those songs recognising their power and the immediacy they carry and had prepared a set of them, full of our soul. Lalia invites people to immerse themselves on this journey with her and feel all that these songs have to tell us. Two virtuoso musicians will collaborate with Lalia and make this journey even more powerful and magical: Michalis Kyprianou on clarinet and bagpipe and Charalambos Pantelis on lute, lavta and saz. How can these songs ‘speak’ to us today? How can these songs relate to us? This is what we are invited to explore as Lalia and with great pleasure to share it with all of you.
