Born of a musical restlessness rooted in electro, the Dyatlov project started in La Laguna / Tenerife in early 2021. The duo - Carlos and Deborah - employs the abrasiveness and coldness of dark electro as a vehicle to describe global unrest. The lyrics pay tribute to the work of revolutionary poet Vladimir Mayakovski and aim to popularise his ideas. The ambiances recreated are reminiscent of the current situation. If the texts talk about a global malaise, the soundscapes offer a modicum of hope, if not in terms of recovery, at least in terms of the capacity we have to write our own epitaph. Sounds ranging from electropunk, drone, ambient, industrial, synthwave, trance, synthwave, and more classic electro all stand out against the backdrop of combative lyrics. The name alludes to the controversial Dyatlov Pass incident in Russia. To date, they have released two albums under the label Los80 Pasan Factura in CD/k7/Vinyl format. It is at the band's live shows with their powerful visuals and performances that you can best experience their rage and message.
