Κalesma is a newly established six-member vocal ensemble that focuses on vocal performance and research of Cypriot and Greek folk and traditional music, as well as original compositions. The ensemble aims to bridge local traditions closer to contemporary creation. An important role in the music that Κalesma focuses on is the reference to Cypriot poetry. Kalesma have performanced at Rialto World Music Festival and Fengaros Festival. The vocal ensemble consists of musicians Vassilis Philippou, Savvas Lagou, Paris Paraschos, Freideriki Tombazou, Katerina Paraschou and Anastasia Zakinthinou.
