A Flower Tide's performance aims to bring together the band's personal take on alt-pop songwriting with their varied musical backgrounds. Their sound is a combination of analog, digital, and modular sound synthesis, as well as distorted guitars and drum-heavy rhythms. Their approach tries to close the gap between live performance and contemporary songwriting and production approaches by treating technology as an explicit, enabling part of the live show. Through this, they try to convey a sense of realism. Their dense, varied, and sometimes hyper-active sonic soundscape interacts with their introspective lyrics. Here, they explore the emotional and aesthetic implications of their own thoughts, actions, and relationships with themselves, people, and nature.
