Sma Rag Da (Smaragda Alexandri) is an independent singer/songwriter & multi-instrumentalist based in Athens, Greece. Her music could be described as blues-infused alternative pop-rock, but Sma Rag Da doesn’t think or create in the context of genres - she just does whatever the heck she wants, musically. Sma Rag Da was discovered by an indie Austrian-Greek label when she was only 16 and immediately gained a lot of media attention. She released her debut album “queen of the surreal”(2013) when she was 17 and her second album “wisdom tooth” in 2016 . “Wisdom Tooth” was Sma Rag Da’s first independent release and she’s been independent by choice ever since. During that same period Sma Rag Da has released quite a few singles and covers, as well as other musical projects such as Broken Greek EP with British producer Brodsky in 2015. Sma Rag Da is using her music as a platform to positively affect, ’activate’ and connect with as many people as possible. She identifies as a musical safarist and that’s what makes following her so exciting!
