Singer/songwriter Kat Papachristou and her Athens-based band Tango with Lions burst in the international indie music scene with the release of their debut album "Verba Time" in 2010, with song "In a Bar" hitting 31,000,000 YouTube views and counting. Starting as a collective of "music-lovers and day-dreamers", Kat's project grew into one of Greece's most important english-speaking indie bands, with their second album "A Long Walk" (2013) establishing TwL’s solid presence in the scene. Their freshly released album The Light (2018), is already critically acclaimed by the music press worldwide. All three albums are released via Inner Ear Records. Over the years they have appeared in the biggest festivals in Greece (Up Festival 2011, 2013 and 2018, Saristra Festival 2013, Rockwave Festival 2017, Ziria Festival 2014, Monitor Fest 2015 and 2017 etc.) and abroad (Jazz in the Park, Cluj-Napoca, Romania 2014 and 2016) and have opened for many artists performing in Greece (Mark Lanegan, Nits, Matt Elliott, The Besnard Lakes, Warhaus etc.) enchanting the audience with their solid sound. TwL's music swings between acoustic, eerie atmosphere and explosive electricity to be completed by Kat's ethereal and husky vocals. Tango with Lions is currently preparing a new album.
